The mission of Three Years Apart is to worship and proclaim the Gospel through the unique musical calling we have received.
For years, we’ve listened to both Christian and secular music, often wondering: Why can’t we worship God with a sound that truly resonates with us and makes us feel uplifted?
Our goal is to spread God’s word by playing high-energy rock music—a sound that can be enjoyed by everyone, including a secular audience. This is our mission!

Chandler Powell
Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
The voice and rhythm guitar player for Three Years Apart. He’s been developing his musical skills since 2019, drawing inspiration from artists like Billy Corgan, Gerard Way, and Matt Shultz, which has helped him craft his distinctive vocal style. He balances his role as 3YA’s frontman with a career as a middle school teacher. 3YA’s debut album, “A Different View,” is a collaborative effort, co-written by Chandler and his grandfather, Bill Brummett. It’s a personal project that showcases his songwriting and musical vision.
Cooper Powell
Lead Guitar
– Lead guitarist for Three Years Apart. He’s a self-taught musician who’s been developing his style since 2019, drawing inspiration from guitarists like Randy Rhoads, Ace Frehley, Slash, and Gene Simmons.
His instrumental contributions were key to the creation of 3YA’s debut album, “A Different View.” He’s a core part of the band’s sound, providing the lead guitar work and contributing to the overall musical direction.
Koryn Estes
Bass / Vocals
– The bassist bringing a natural feel to Three Years Apart. Joining in October 2024, she’s quickly become an integral part of the band. Music has always been a significant part of her life, and she has a strong background in singing.
Her musical inspirations include Hayley Williams, Adam Gontier, and Amy Lee, which influences her singing style.
As the newest member, Koryn has seamlessly integrated with the band, both musically and stylistically. 3YA considers her a perfect fit.
Greg Kitzmiller
Drums
– Drummer for Three Years Apart. He’s new to the band as of Spring 25′. Hes been on the music scene for years playing in regional and local bands as a drummer and a guitarist.
He is cites influences by 80’s rock bands and the rawness of the 90’s grunge recordings.
Greg has been a part of the worship team in his church for over 20 years, he also is co-owner of a media company. Hes a web designer, graphic artist, photographer and loves his family. Hes looking forward to his time with Three Years Apart.
